Submissions

We welcome submissions across academic fields and from industry that reflect conference topic areas and aim at the one of conference theme tracks. The submission process is organized in two stages:

1) Abstract and 2) the Full paper submission.

Abstract submission and acceptance is compulsory if the authors wish to deliver a presentation during the Conference.

Important dates

Abstracts: submission deadline: 15 September 2021

Authors must supply a structured abstract in their submission:

  • Purpose (mandatory)
  • Design/methodology/approach (mandatory)
  • Findings (mandatory)
  • Research limitations/implications (if applicable)
  • Practical implications (if applicable)
  • Social implications (if applicable)
  • Originality/value (mandatory)

Maximum is 250 words in total. All submitted abstracts will undergo a blind review.

Acceptance of Abstracts notification – 15 October 2021

Deadline for full paper submissions: All submissions must be completed online no later than 15 December 2021. To avoid technical problems, early submission is strongly encouraged

The EasyChair paper processing system is used for both abstracts and full papers submission process management. If you do not have an EasyChair account, you have to create it. It is free of charge and requires providing only surname, some affiliation information and email address. You can sign up at https://easychair.org/. Note that every author must have an EasyChair account.

All abstracts are reviewed following a double-blind review process. Please ensure that author information is not provided in the abstract document. The notification about acceptance/rejection will be sent to the corresponding author.

Note: At least one author of the submission must register to the Conference and present the paper during the Conference. Otherwise, the submission will not be included in the Conference Program.

Full paper submission

After you receive notification that your abstract is accepted, you are welcome to submit a full paper. By providing the full paper, you will receive feedback from reviewers.

Note: Abstract acceptance does not necessarily mean that your full paper is automatically accepted for publication. The Editor leaves the right to reject the paper if it does not fit with the scope and requirements of the IASS 2022 Conference.

Ensure that you have your ABSTRACT SUBMISSION number, as you will need it to complete the upload of your full paper. The abstract submission number is in the abstract acceptance letter that is sent to the corresponding author email address. Authors submit full papers on EDAS system and indicate the conference track they apply. The papers are reviewed following a double-blind review process.

IMPORTANT

Author identification: Name (s) of author (s) must be removed for blind reviews of submissions. Before uploading your paper, remove all author identification from the document including any file properties. (For example, in MS Word, in the “File” menu, select “Properties,” delete any identifying information, click “OK,” and save the document.). NOT FOLLOWING THE GUIDELINES MAY DISQUALIFY YOUR SUBMISSION FROM REVIEW.

Author Affiliation (in a separate document)

Include full names, affiliations, email addresses and where possible, an ORCID identifier for all authors on the manuscript cover page. The author’s affiliation should be the affiliation where the research was conducted.

Please go to the Conference Management System EasyChair. If you are a new user of EasyChair please create an account to submit your paper and then follow the instructions provided by EasyChair.

Best Paper Award and Best Student Paper Award will be conferred at the conference.

 

Ethical Considerations

Authorship: Authors must give credit through references or notes to the original author of any idea or concept presented in the paper. This includes direct quotations and paraphrases.

Publication or presentation history: If material in your presentation has been published, presented, or accepted for publication or presentation, this must be disclosed in your paper or proposal and may make your submission ineligible.

Conference attendance: If your panel or paper is accepted for the IASS 2022 conference, you have a commitment to register for and attend the conference and perform your assigned role. All chairs and respondents also make this commitment. If extenuating circumstances prevent you from attending, you should find a substitute to perform your duties and notify the program chair.

Self-Plagiarism (or duplicate publications): Self-plagiarism involves an author presenting earlier published material as original and new. Self-plagiarism is often not an issue, but it must be transparent and limited. A critical issue involved in self-plagiarism is the degree to which it is clear whether the author is drawing from earlier manuscripts/research. Covert self-plagiarism occurs when the author is not transparent when drawing from earlier manuscripts or research; this can constitute a serious ethical transgression.
